Job Overview:
The Biology Teacher (Secondary Section) will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive Biology lessons, fostering scientific curiosity, and ensuring a deep understanding of biological concepts. The ideal candidate must have strong subject knowledge, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment. This role requires adherence to KHDA guidelines and a commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured Biology lessons for (Secondary Section) students.
- Develop lesson plans in accordance with the school curriculum and KHDA educational standards.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including experiments, models, visual aids, and technology to enhance learning.
- Assess, evaluate, and track student progress through assignments, tests, and practical assessments.
- Provide additional support to students requiring extra assistance in Biology.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a structured, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment.
- Implement classroom management techniques to ensure active participation and respect.
- Encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and develop a passion for scientific inquiry.
Student Mentorship & Development:
- Identify and support individual student learning needs and provide academic guidance.
- Organize biology-related projects, lab experiments, and research assignments to enhance understanding.
- Prepare students for assessments, competitions, and higher studies in biological sciences.
Parental Engagement & Communication:
- Maintain open and proactive communication with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and educational workshops.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Stay updated with advancements in Biology education, scientific research, and teaching methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with KHDA regulations and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with colleagues and engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- B.Ed. is mandatory (applications without this qualification will not be considered).
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (mandatory).
Preferred Criteria:
- Candidates with Spouse/Own Visa are preferred (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of Biology curriculum and best teaching practices.
