Job Overview:
The English Teacher – Afternoon Session (Middle Section) will be responsible for delivering engaging, skill-focused English language instruction to students in the middle grades. The ideal candidate should be passionate about language and literature, experienced in teaching grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and communication skills. This role requires effective classroom management, creativity in lesson planning, and alignment with the CBSE curriculum and KHDA educational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and deliver comprehensive English lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and speaking.
- Follow the CBSE curriculum and align teaching methods with KHDA guidelines.
- Use a variety of instructional materials such as stories, poems, essays, and multimedia resources.
- Design lesson plans that foster critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, oral presentations, and written tasks.
Student Engagement & Language Development:
- Foster a love for reading and expressive writing through interactive classroom activities.
- Encourage students to participate in debates, storytelling, public speaking, and drama.
- Provide individualized support to help students build confidence and overcome language barriers.
Classroom Management & Inclusivity:
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-disciplined learning environment.
- Apply effective classroom strategies to ensure active student participation.
- Promote collaborative group work and peer-to-peer learning activities.
Parental Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress and skill development.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, language exhibitions, and literary events.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Stay updated with emerging trends in English education, teaching strategies, and CBSE updates.
- Ensure compliance with KHDA regulations and school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- B.Ed. is mandatory (applications without this qualification will not be considered).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a similar role at the middle school level (mandatory).
- Experience in a CBSE curriculum school is preferred.
Visa Status:
- Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.
