Job Overview:
The Islamic Teacher – Afternoon Session (Primary Section) will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate Islamic education to young learners, fostering moral development, spiritual understanding, and appreciation for Islamic values. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Islamic studies, experienced in working with primary-aged children, and capable of creating a respectful and engaging learning environment. The role requires compliance with MOE Islamic curriculum and KHDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and deliver interactive Islamic Studies lessons in accordance with the MOE curriculum guidelines for primary students.
- Teach Qur’an recitation, Islamic values, Seerah, Hadith, and Fiqh in a developmentally appropriate manner.
- Use stories, visuals, songs, and hands-on activities to help young learners connect with Islamic teachings.
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials that align with curriculum outcomes.
Spiritual & Moral Development:
- Foster Islamic etiquette, respect, and behavior in daily school life.
- Encourage the practice of daily duas, Islamic greetings, and positive character traits.
- Support students in understanding and applying Islamic principles in their daily lives.
Classroom Management & Student Engagement:
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and well-disciplined learning environment.
- Promote classroom discussion, questioning, and reflection on Islamic values.
- Provide additional support to students needing help in Qur’an recitation or religious concepts.
Parental Communication & Community Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with parents on student progress and Islamic behavior.
- Participate in school events and organize activities for Islamic occasions such as Ramadan, Hajj Week, and Eid.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Stay updated with MOE regulations and curriculum updates in Islamic Education.
- Ensure compliance with KHDA and school policies.
- Attend training sessions and contribute to interdisciplinary projects within the school.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Arabic and Islamic Education, or a related field (mandatory).
- Teaching certification or B.Ed. in Islamic Studies is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in Islamic Studies at the primary level (mandatory).
- Experience with CBSE or MOE curriculum schools is preferred.
Visa Status:
- Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong command of Islamic teachings, Qur’anic recitation, and Arabic terminology.
- Ability to deliver age-appropriate, engaging, and values-driven lessons.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, compassionate, and respectful towards all students.
- Familiarity with blended learning methods and digital Islamic education tools is an added advantage.
