Job Overview:
The Nurse (Maternity Cover) will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of students and staff by managing the day-to-day operations of the school clinic. The role includes providing first aid, managing medical records, supporting health education, and ensuring compliance with DHA and KHDA regulations. This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave and requires prior experience working in a school clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Medical Care:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff during school hours.
- Monitor and care for students with ongoing medical conditions, ensuring proper medication and care.
- Maintain DHA-mandated health records and ensure all immunization data and medical files are up to date.
Clinic Operations:
- Maintain cleanliness, stock medical supplies, and ensure the clinic is always emergency-ready.
- Track and report illness patterns, injuries, and incidents to school authorities and DHA as required.
- Coordinate with parents regarding student health updates and medication authorizations.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the clinic operates in line with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and KHDA health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in DHA inspections and audits, ensuring documentation and protocols are up to date.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and reports.
- Use Excel and digital tools for daily logs, incident reports, and statistical tracking.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- BSc Nursing is mandatory.
Certifications:
- Valid DHA License/Eligibility is mandatory.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a school clinic (mandatory).
Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for recordkeeping and report generation.
Visa Status:
- Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.
