Value Education & Life Skills Teacher
Overview
As a Value Education & Life Skills Teacher, you will craft and deliver interactive lessons that nurture students’ personal growth, ethical decision-making, emotional intelligence and essential life skills. Your role is to foster character development, social awareness and responsible behavior in line with CBSE guidelines and KHDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery & Instruction
- Design and teach age-appropriate lessons on empathy, teamwork, digital responsibility, stress management, conflict resolution and leadership
- Employ role-plays, reflective journals, case studies and group discussions to deepen understanding
- Create formative assessments, self-evaluations and collaborative projects to track skill development
- Student Development & Support
- Cultivate a nurturing environment that encourages emotional growth and ethical reasoning
- Guide students through real-life scenarios to build decision-making skills and self-awareness
- Offer one-on-one support for students facing emotional, behavioral or peer-related challenges
- Classroom Management & Culture
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive classroom where every student feels valued
- Partner with colleagues—teachers, counselors and support staff—to bolster each student’s overall well-being
- Champion school values through assemblies, campaigns and classroom activities
- Parental & Community Engagement
- Keep parents informed of their child’s social-emotional progress and participation
- Plan and take part in community outreach, value-based events and student exhibitions
- Professional Development & Compliance
- Stay current with CBSE value education and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) standards
- Attend workshops and contribute to school-wide character-building initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student progress and SEL outcomes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education
- B.Ed. (mandatory)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education, Psychology, Counseling or a related field
- Experience
- 2–3 years teaching life skills, value education or SEL at the middle-school level
- Experience with the CBSE curriculum is preferred
- Visa Status
- Candidates holding a Spouse, Employment or their own visa will be prioritized
