Job Description: Biology Teacher – Secondary Section (Afternoon Session) 

Job Overview: 
The Biology Teacher – Afternoon Session (Secondary Section) is responsible for delivering engaging, comprehensive instruction in life sciences to students in grades 9 and 10. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge in biology, a passion for teaching, and the ability to prepare students for board exams as per CBSE curriculum guidelines. The role also requires compliance with KHDA educational standards and an emphasis on student engagement and inquiry-based learning. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery: 

  • Teach core biology topics including cell biology, genetics, ecology, human and plant physiology, and evolution. 
  • Design structured and interactive lesson plans aligned with the CBSE syllabus and examination framework. 
  • Incorporate models, diagrams, videos, and lab demonstrations for deeper concept clarity. 
  • Evaluate students through written tests, assignments, lab reports, and projects. 

Student Engagement & Skill Development: 

  • Encourage participation in practical experiments, group activities, and biology clubs. 
  • Build critical thinking and problem-solving skills through inquiry-based tasks. 
  • Offer remedial support and academic guidance to students based on performance. 

Classroom Management & Inclusivity: 

  • Create a respectful, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment. 
  • Use differentiated instruction to address varying academic abilities and learning styles. 

Parental Communication & Collaboration: 

  • Maintain regular communication with parents to share academic updates and growth opportunities. 
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic events. 

Professional Development & Compliance: 

  • Stay up to date with CBSE and KHDA science education requirements. 
  • Attend school-led training programs and contribute to interdisciplinary activities. 
  • Collaborate with other science and subject teachers for integrated academic delivery. 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • B.Ed. is mandatory (applications without this qualification will not be considered). 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching biology in a CBSE secondary school setting. 
  • Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred. 

Skills & Attributes: 

  • Strong command of biology curriculum and board exam content. 
  • Proficient in classroom delivery, lab work, and student engagement. 
  • Creative in lesson planning with a focus on inquiry and real-world relevance. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
