Job Overview:
The Music Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic music lessons, fostering creativity, and encouraging students to develop their musical talents. The ideal candidate must have strong subject knowledge, proficiency in various musical instruments, and a passion for teaching. This role requires the ability to integrate theory, practical skills, and performance opportunities while adhering to KHDA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction & Music Education:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver music lessons that cover theory, instrument playing, vocal training, and music appreciation.
- Develop lesson plans in alignment with KHDA educational standards and the school’s curriculum.
- Teach students various musical techniques, sight-reading, composition, and music history.
- Use innovative teaching methods, interactive exercises, and technology to enhance student learning.
Student Engagement & Performance Development:
- Encourage students to participate in school concerts, recitals, and inter-school competitions.
- Organize music clubs, choir groups, and band activities to foster a love for music.
- Provide additional support and coaching for students interested in advanced musical training.
Classroom Management & Discipline:
- Maintain a structured and engaging classroom environment.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to promote focus and creativity.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, and confidence through group performances and collaborative projects.
Parental Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and potential.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and academic workshops.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Stay updated with emerging trends in music education and new teaching methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with KHDA regulations and maintain student performance records.
- Collaborate with colleagues and engage in professional development programs to enhance teaching effectiveness.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Performing Arts, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Music Teacher (mandatory).
Preferred Criteria:
- Candidates with Spouse/Own Visa are preferred.
- Ability to play and teach multiple musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, violin, drums, etc.).
- Experience in choir direction, orchestration, and music production is an advantage.
