Job Overview:
The Biology Teacher will be responsible for teaching foundational and age-appropriate life science topics, inspiring curiosity about biology, and supporting the development of scientific thinking. The role requires alignment with the CBSE curriculum and KHDA standards, with a focus on concept clarity, practical application, and environmental awareness across relevant grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
- Deliver CBSE-aligned lessons covering core biology topics such as cell structure, human anatomy, plant biology, ecosystems, and microorganisms.
- Use a mix of teaching aids including diagrams, videos, models, and simple experiments to facilitate interactive learning.
- Prepare well-structured lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to enhance critical and analytical thinking.
- Encourage active classroom participation through discussions, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning.
Student Engagement & Skill Development:
- Cultivate a scientific mindset through inquiry-based learning, observation tasks, and classroom discussions.
- Guide students in project-based learning, environmental initiatives, and science-related extracurricular activities.
- Offer individualized academic support to help students strengthen their understanding of biology.
Classroom Management & Inclusivity:
- Foster a disciplined, inclusive, and student-friendly learning environment.
- Apply differentiated teaching techniques to meet the varied academic needs of learners.
Parental Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintain regular and transparent communication with parents regarding student performance and academic growth.
- Participate in school programs such as science fairs, nature awareness campaigns, and open house events.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Stay current with CBSE updates and innovative teaching practices in biology education.
- Comply with KHDA regulatory requirements and actively participate in professional training and workshops.
- Collaborate with other subject teachers to facilitate cross-disciplinary learning experiences.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- B.Ed. is mandatory (applications without this qualification will not be considered).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a closely related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching biology in a CBSE school setup.
- Experience working with students in relevant age groups and delivering concept-based science education.
Visa Status:
- Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.
