A Proud Milestone: Dhiya Lakshmi’s Arangetram Marks Her Classical Dance Debut
At Gulf Indian High School (GIHS), we take immense pride in celebrating the unique talents of our students beyond the classroom. One such shining star is Dhiya Lakshmi, a dedicated Grade 3 student who recently reached an extraordinary milestone in her artistic journey.
🎉 On 19th July 2025, Dhiya performed her Arangetram — the first solo stage performance by a classical dancer — in Guruvayur, Kerala, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage.
Her graceful debut is a result of years of disciplined training in Bharatanatyam, one of India’s oldest and most revered classical dance forms. With poise, rhythm, and expressive storytelling, Dhiya’s performance captivated audiences and marked the beginning of what promises to be an inspiring journey in the arts.
At GIHS, we nurture the holistic development of our students, encouraging them to pursue excellence in academics, arts, and beyond. We are incredibly proud of Dhiya’s achievement and wish her many more graceful performances ahead! 🌸
