Gulf Indian High School celebrated Family Literacy Week with a joyful and imaginative Story Character Show and Share activity for our little stars of KG-1 on May 20, 2026.
The activity encouraged children to step into the world of stories by dressing up as their favourite storybook characters. From charming princesses and brave superheroes to classic fairy tale characters, our young learners brought stories to life with confidence, creativity, and excitement.
As part of the activity, children spoke about the characters they portrayed, helping them build confidence, communication skills, and a deeper love for reading. The classroom was filled with colourful costumes, happy smiles, and adorable moments that made the celebration truly special.
Events like these play an important role in nurturing early literacy skills among children. Through storytelling, role play, and show-and-share activities, students learn to express themselves, improve vocabulary, and connect with books in a fun and meaningful way.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful parents for supporting the children and making this activity so colourful and memorable. Your encouragement helped our KG-1 learners participate with enthusiasm and confidence.
At Gulf Indian High School, we continue to create joyful learning experiences that inspire imagination, creativity, and a lifelong love for reading.
