At Global Indian High School (GIHS) Dubai, learning goes far beyond the classroom. Our Grade 2, 3 and 4 students recently participated in an exciting hands-on activity that combined environmental awareness with entrepreneurial learning.
From planting seeds to harvesting fresh vegetables, students stepped into the roles of young gardeners — and later, budding entrepreneurs.
As part of our experiential learning approach, students harvested fresh produce from the GIHS school garden and organised a small vegetable sale for teachers. This activity provided a practical understanding of sustainability, responsibility, and teamwork.
Through this real-world experience, students developed:
Communication skills
Teamwork and collaboration
Problem-solving abilities
Entrepreneurial thinking
Financial awareness and basic money management
At GIHS Dubai, we believe that meaningful education happens when children actively engage in experiences that build life skills. Activities like these encourage confidence, independence, and creativity while reinforcing academic learning.
By connecting classroom knowledge with real-world application, we nurture responsible, confident, and future-ready learners.
