Arabic Teacher
Overview
As an Arabic Teacher, you will deliver structured, engaging lessons in Modern Standard Arabic—covering grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and speaking—to middle-grade students. You’ll implement the MOE curriculum, foster language proficiency and cultural understanding, and ensure all instruction meets KHDA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Plan and teach lessons on Arabic grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing and oral fluency
- Implement the MOE Arabic curriculum and comply with KHDA requirements
- Introduce students to Arabic literature, including short stories, poetry and non-fiction
- Assess learning through written assignments, oral presentations, quizzes and formative checks
- Student Engagement & Language Development
- Stimulate critical thinking and expressive skills via discussions and interactive activities
- Use audio-visual aids and real-life scenarios to enhance language acquisition
- Provide tailored support for varying proficiency levels and learning styles
- Classroom Management & Inclusivity
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive and academically focused environment
- Employ strategies that encourage collaboration and active participation
- Adapt materials and methods to meet diverse student needs
- Parental Communication & Collaboration
- Keep parents informed of student progress, performance and behavior
- Participate in parent–teacher meetings and language-focused events (exhibitions, recitations)
- Encourage at-home practice to reinforce classroom learning
- Professional Development & Compliance
- Stay current on MOE curriculum updates and best practices for middle-school instruction
- Ensure lesson plans and teaching methods satisfy KHDA regulations
- Collaborate with the Arabic department and cross-curricular teams
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Arabic Education or a related field (mandatory)
- Teaching certification or B.Ed. is preferred, especially for non-native speakers
- Experience
- 2–3 years of middle-school Arabic teaching experience (mandatory)
- Experience within a UAE CBSE or MOE curriculum school is preferred
- Visa Status
- Preference for candidates with Spouse, Employment or their own visa
- Skills & Attributes
- Strong command of Modern Standard Arabic and Arabic grammar instruction
- Excellent lesson-planning, communication and classroom-management skills
- Cultural sensitivity and genuine passion for Arabic language education
