Job Overview:
The Arabic Teacher will be responsible for delivering effective and engaging Arabic language instruction to students, fostering a deep understanding of the language, literature, and culture. The ideal candidate should have strong command over Modern Standard Arabic and spoken Arabic, with the ability to teach students of varying language proficiency levels. This role requires alignment with MOE and KHDA guidelines and a commitment to promoting language development, cultural identity, and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities: Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver Arabic language lessons that align with MOE curriculum standards and KHDA guidelines.
- Teach Arabic grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques including stories, songs, dialogues, visual aids, and interactive activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to monitor and evaluate student progress.
Student Engagement & Language Development:
- Foster a love and appreciation for the Arabic language and culture.
- Encourage students to participate in language-based activities, such as debates, poetry recitations, and cultural events.
- Provide remedial support to students requiring additional help and differentiated instruction based on learning needs.
Classroom Management & Discipline:
- Maintain a structured, respectful, and positive learning environment.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Promote values such as respect, responsibility, and cultural identity in the classroom.
Parental Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and progress.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, Arabic language exhibitions, and school-wide cultural celebrations.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies, MOE curriculum changes, and educational tools for language learning.
- Ensure full compliance with KHDA and MOE requirements for Arabic instruction.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in professional development programs.
Qualifications & Requirements: Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Education, or a related field (mandatory).
- B.Ed. or Teaching Diploma is preferred for non-native speakers.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a school setting (mandatory).
- Experience teaching in a CBSE/IGCSE/MOE curriculum environment is preferred.
Language Proficiency:
- Native or fluent speaker of Arabic with strong command of Modern Standard Arabic.
- Proficient in English for communication with staff and reporting.
Visa Status:
- Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.
