Job Overview:
The Science Teacher – Afternoon Session (Primary Section) will be responsible for delivering engaging and hands-on science lessons to young learners, aimed at building foundational knowledge and fostering curiosity about the natural world. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching primary students, a passion for science education, and the ability to make complex concepts simple and enjoyable. The role requires alignment with the CBSE curriculum and compliance with KHDA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan and deliver interactive science lessons for primary students, focusing on fundamental concepts in biology, physics, and chemistry.
- Design lesson plans in alignment with the CBSE curriculum and KHDA standards.
- Use visual aids, simple experiments, models, and storytelling to help students understand scientific concepts.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
Student Engagement & Inquiry-Based Learning:
- Encourage inquiry-based learning and guide students in exploring scientific ideas through observation and questioning.
- Promote hands-on activities, classroom projects, and real-life applications to make learning meaningful.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, observation, and reasoning skills.
Classroom Management & Environment:
- Maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and structured routines.
- Adapt lessons to suit diverse learning needs and abilities.
Parental Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding academic performance and areas for support.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, science exhibitions, and school-wide events.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Stay updated with modern science teaching techniques and curriculum updates.
- Ensure full compliance with KHDA and internal school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary teaching and learning opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- B.Ed. is mandatory (applications without this qualification will not be considered).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar teaching role at the primary level (mandatory).
- Experience in a CBSE curriculum school is preferred.
Visa Status:
- Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.
