Overview
As an English Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging, skill-focused lessons in grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and speaking for middle-grade learners. Your instruction will foster critical thinking and creativity, align with CBSE curriculum standards, and meet KHDA educational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery
- Plan and teach comprehensive English lessons covering grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and oral communication
- Utilize stories, poems, essays and multimedia resources to enrich learning
- Develop lesson plans that encourage critical thinking, creativity and effective expression
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, presentations and written tasks
- Student Engagement & Language Development
- Cultivate a love for reading and expressive writing via debates, storytelling, public speaking and drama activities
- Provide tailored support to boost confidence and address individual language challenges
- Classroom Management & Inclusivity
- Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-disciplined learning environment
- Apply strategies that ensure active participation and foster peer collaboration
- Parental Communication & Collaboration
- Keep parents informed of academic progress and skill development
- Participate in parent–teacher meetings, language exhibitions and literary events
- Professional Development & Compliance
- Stay current with CBSE updates, emerging teaching strategies and KHDA requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives and school-wide projects
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education
- B.Ed. (mandatory)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in English, Education or a related field
- Experience
- 2–3 years teaching English at the middle-school level (mandatory)
- Prior experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is preferred
- Visa Status
- Preference for candidates with Spouse, Employment or their own visa

- Strong command of English grammar, literature and instructional techniques
- Excellent communication, classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Creative and organized in developing interactive learning materials
- Passionate about nurturing young learners’ language abilities
