GIHS recently hosted an engaging Word Weavers – Language Club Activity for students from Grades 5 to 12, focusing on mental health awareness, self-worth, and resilience through creative and reflective expression.
The session featured a variety of thoughtfully designed activities, including a debate on “Does Social Media Affect Wellbeing?”, where students confidently shared perspectives and enhanced their critical thinking skills. Creativity flourished through Kindness Comic Strips, while introspection took center stage with “Dear Future, Me” letters, allowing students to set personal goals and write meaningful affirmations.
Students also crafted “Words That Heal” bookmarks and wrote Gratitude Letters, reinforcing the power of positive language and appreciation. Each activity encouraged self-expression, emotional awareness, and mindful communication.
Through this enriching club activity, students were able to build confidence, strengthen emotional resilience, practice empathy, and reflect on their personal wellbeing and future aspirations. The Word Weavers Language Club session at GIHS was a meaningful step toward nurturing kindness, positivity, and emotional wellness within the school community.
