Arabic Reading Challenge 2025 – GIHS Students Soar to Literary Excellence
At Gulf Indian High School (GIHS), a leading Indian CBSE school in Dubai, we proudly celebrate the exceptional achievements of our students in the 9th Edition of the Arabic Reading Challenge (ARC) – the largest Arab literacy initiative spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
📚 On April 1, 2025, 1,677 students from GIHS participated in the first round of ARC 2025, demonstrating their growing passion for Arabic language, reading, and cultural appreciation.
🏅 From this impressive number, 9 students advanced to the second round held on May 13, 2025 — showcasing their discipline, comprehension skills, and enthusiasm for Arabic literature.
🌟 A huge round of applause for our final round champions, who competed with peers across the Emirates on May 20, 2025:
Fathima Shanza (Grade 8)
Nuha Fathima (Grade 4)
Their achievement is a testament to their dedication, reading stamina, and love for language.
The Arabic Reading Challenge motivates students to read over 50 books in a single academic year, building not just reading skills but a deeper connection with Arabic culture and the joy of lifelong learning.
We celebrate every participant who took part in this literacy journey. You’ve made our GIHS community incredibly proud!
