Job Description: Chemistry Teacher
Job Overview:
The Chemistry Teacher is responsible for delivering concept-based, age-appropriate chemistry instruction that fosters scientific curiosity and critical thinking. The role includes teaching foundational chemistry topics and supporting the development of basic lab skills in alignment with the CBSE curriculum and KHDA regulations. The ideal candidate will have the enthusiasm and capability to make chemistry engaging and relatable for young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
- Teach essential chemistry topics such as states of matter, elements, mixtures, atoms, and chemical reactions.
- Create structured lesson plans aligned with CBSE standards and incorporate multimedia resources, models, and classroom activities.
- Conduct classroom demonstrations and hands-on experiments, ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
- Assess student understanding through classwork, quizzes, homework, projects, and formative evaluations.
Student Engagement & Skill Development:
- Foster inquiry-based learning by encouraging questions, exploration, and discussions.
- Build students’ critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills through practical examples.
- Provide extra guidance or remedial sessions for students requiring additional academic support.
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration through group projects and experiments.
Classroom Management & Inclusivity:
- Maintain an orderly, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Use differentiated teaching techniques to address varied learning needs and abilities.
Parental Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintain regular communication with parents about student progress and goals.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and contribute to school-wide science initiatives and events.
Professional Development & Compliance:
- Keep abreast of CBSE curriculum updates and KHDA requirements.
- Engage in professional development programs, school-based workshops, and team collaboration for interdisciplinary learning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- B.Ed. is mandatory (applications without this qualification will not be considered).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science, or Education.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school setting is required.
- Experience working with middle-grade learners and engaging them in scientific inquiry is preferred.
Visa Status:
- Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong knowledge of chemistry fundamentals and their practical applications.
- Skilled in creating lesson plans and facilitating interactive and engaging classroom sessions.
