IT Admin

Job Overview:

The IT Admin will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support across the school, ensuring all systems, devices, and networks run efficiently. This role requires a tech-savvy individual who can assist with hardware/software troubleshooting, manage digital resources, and support administrative functions related to IT infrastructure. The IT Admin will also help ensure the school remains compliant with internal IT protocols and supports educational technology needs for staff and students.


Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Helpdesk Management:

  • Provide first-level IT support to staff and students for software, hardware, printers, and connectivity issues.
  • Respond promptly to support tickets and maintain logs of IT-related incidents and resolutions.
  • Perform routine diagnostics and maintenance on desktops, laptops, projectors, smart boards, and other school devices.

System Administration:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, applications, and internal servers.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and password resets.
  • Monitor data backups, anti-virus systems, and general IT security measures.

Network & Device Management:

  • Ensure smooth operation of the school’s network, including Wi-Fi, printers, and shared drives.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, warranties, and software renewals.
  • Track and manage IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and IT consumables.

Support for School Operations:

  • Assist academic and admin teams with software tools used for lesson delivery, assessments, and data entry.
  • Support events or meetings requiring AV or tech setup.
  • Update and maintain school IT documentation, guides, and SOPs for staff.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (mandatory).

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an IT support or administrative role (mandatory).
  • Prior experience in an educational setting in the UAE is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of PC and network troubleshooting, Microsoft Office, basic hardware repairs, and IT asset management.
  • Familiarity with school management systems such as DC Netra is desirable.

Visa Status:

  • Candidates with Spouse Visa, Own Visa, or Employment Visa are preferred.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Well-organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
  • Flexible, proactive, and a team player.
